I took Zach's bike in for a tune up yesterday. Zach's bike is the bike that I had planned to use for my epic cycling project. However. Zach's bike needs $250 worth of work to make it road worthy (this included replacing a tire, replacing the pedals and all that they are connected to..., and, of course, actually connecting the wire from the gear shift to the gears.... gosh).
Needless to say, I have to go back to the drawing board on this one. I'm a little discouraged. I thought I had found a great, environmentally friendly exercise option for my life that is getting busier as the weather out here gets colder. Hmmm. I might have to brave jogging in the dark or try working out something else.
